Cost effective solutions to reducing water March 04th 2008 Dart Valley Systems offer a comprehensive range of water saving products coupled with unrivalled expertise in providing cost effective water efficient solutions for washrooms.
WC Flushing Save 30%
The no-touch WC Flushvalve is the most robust and reliable WC Flushing device available for arduous applications. The importance of its innovative design was recognised by the “Enterprise 2000 Innovation and Technology Award”.
The product saves 30% to 40% water when retro-fitted to old larger cisterns. The repeatability of flushing is exceptional. The product is on the Water Technology List and will be one of the few devices accepted by Australia as being capable of saving significant water when retro-fitted to older style WC pans. Other benefits include robustness, hygiene, ease of use and aesthetics.
Urinal Controls Save 80%
The Flushmatic urinal control was awarded “Best Environmental Product in Australia”. DVS offer a broad spectrum of urinal flushing solutions, including biological sleeves, cleaner deodoriser sleeves, individual sensing urinal controls, PIR group controls, wall mounted or flush ceiling mounted. For most applications where the cisterns continually fill and flush the PIR systems suit retro-fit and are economical to install saving around 80% of water. Individual controls are the most cost effective solution for new installations and keep the bowls freshest.
DVS installed WC Flushvalves and urinal controls at Churston Ferrers Grammar School where they reduced the water use by 46% with payback in just over 6 months. This case study and many other examples of how to save water can be seen on the DVS web site www.dartvalley.co.uk
Electronic taps Save 65%
No-Touch electronic taps for hand washing typically save between 50% and 65%. Used in conjunction with TMV3 thermostatic mixing valves these taps provide the most convenient water efficient solution for handwashing.Other benefits include ease of use, safe preset water temperature, hygiene and aesthetics.
They are also very reliable, as experienced by James Paget Hospital; “Further to the letter I wrote to you in 2001 expressing our satisfaction with DVS no-touch taps the Trust is pleased to advise that we can confirm we are still of the same view having had a further 6 years experience. We have installed in the region of 650 taps with virtually no problem in the last 7 years since we started installing them.
In addition we have installed your WC flush valves and had the same high level of reliability, and we are pleased to be able to recommend your products with confidence.”
Self Closing push taps Save 40%
It is critical to have self closing taps in public toilets to ensure users do not leave taps running. The no-touch electronic taps are clearly the most water efficient, and the benefits should be carefully considered. If budgets are not available then self closing push taps are the minimum that should be installed. They are not as hygienic as notouch taps but are more hygienic than twist or lever taps as after washing hands they shut of without further contact.Toggle levers are available for ease of use for young children or disabled.
Good design in washrooms
Water efficiency in washrooms does not mean reducing hygiene and with good design and optimum product selection toilets can be significantly upgraded whilst simultaneously saving water. More articles from Dart Valley Systems Ltd: |
